Best Radio Songs of 2019
Yes, I know what month it is. We’re still in Q1 so it counts.
In 2019, I officially kicked off my first show as a radio presenter (radio jockey?) on Radio Bahrain’s English station. While I try to make sure that my shows are interesting enough on a content-level when I’m presenting, my biggest focus is the music playlist that I draw from to curate every show I’m on, and I hope that my priority to pick (what I consider to be) the best music available to the station shines through. We get about 100 new tracks entered into our system every week, and I try to stay vigilant about having a playlist that’s not just reflective of my own musical taste and has widespread appeal, but also extremely current.
I found myself with a huge playlist of music from 2019 alone that I thought were excellent additions to contemporary music history. In an attempt to share that with you, here’s my playlist of 2019 radio releases that I consider to be the best of the year.
This year’s already gotten a few bangers so I can’t wait for everything else that’s coming. In the meantime, please enjoy the best of 2019. Since it’s a radio playlist, I tried only to include the radio-friendly censored versions of tracks, and only five of the 58 songs are the uncensored versions (but they’re none of them are heavily NSFW).
